Reasons For The Seven Washes. The bible describes Jehovah as the only wise God.He is all-powerful and all-knowing. He is also the master strategist.

His methods are always perfect and foolproof. Through this article, you will understand that anyone who substitutes God’s strategy for that of man will experience failure and defeat.

2 Kings 5:1-6″ Now Naaman captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master and honourable because by him the Lord had given deliverance unto Syria he was also a mighty man in valour but he was a leper. And the Syrians had gone out by companies and had brought away captives out of the land of Israel a little maid, and she waited on Naaman’s wife. And she said unto her mistress, would God my lord were with the prophet that was in Samaria, Syrian for he would recover him of his leprosy. And one went in and told his lord, thus and thus said the maid is from the land of Israel. And the king of Syria said, go to, go and I will send a letter unto the king of Israel. And he departed and took him ten talent of silver and six thousand pieces of gold, and ten changes of raiment. He wanted to buy his healing. And Elisha sent a messager unto him saying go and wash in Jordan seven times and thy flesh shall come again unto thee.

Naaman was very angry and went away saying “I thought he would call on his God and strike his hand over the place and recover the leper.”

When Naaman left his leprosy in Jordan, Gehazi, the servant of the prophet took leprosy because he took the money that his master refused and told lies to collect it.

There are many things to learn from this scripture above. Naaman was a great man but he was a burden to himself. Even the ugliest and poorest man in the town will not like to eat with him. What I want you to understand is that he was great but he had something which all his greatness can not solve.

Every man has a BUT, but the problem is that the majority of these problems vary. Naaman equated spiritual to kingly authority, he did not know that the king over human is not necessarily the king over demons and that the devil has no regard for academic qualification.

Naaman like many people today, thought that he could buy his healing through carrying gift. We learn a lesson there we cannot buy things from God. God is not a business man who sells spiritual benefits neither a magician.
And if you go to somebody or a church and he is demanding something from you, know that God is not there, because He said: “freely you received, and freely you shall give.”

The bible also said, “Hereto you can come and drink freely the water of life”

SEVEN THE NUMBER OF PERFECTION

From the beginning of the word of God, God has stamped Number 7 as completeness or ending. God finished all His work and rested on the seventh day.

Genesis:2:2 “And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had made and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made.

God appointed seven days to the week, and He blessed the seventh day. Those who play musical instrument knows that it is just seven lines to the musical thing.

The bible talks about seven angels, seven days after Noah and his family entered the ark. Before the wall of Jericho could come down the people of Israel marched around the city seven days.

And at the seventh time on the seventh day, the wall of Jericho fell down flat.

“That takes us to Psalm 138:8 now if you believe what i am saying, i want you to confess it seven times.

On the other hand, when God wanted to avenge His children, He also taketh vengeance on the enemy in sevenfold, so i pity people who toy with the children of God and feel they can go scot free.

PRIDE AND ANGER.

This scripture also teaches us how pride and anger can take a person away from his miracle. God want Naaman to know that He had no regard to human greatness.

The instruction, that was given to Naaman was “go and bath in Jordan, seven times”. The instruction had a promise, thou shall be clean and be free from leprosy.

Naaman considers it an insult to go and bath in Jordan to wash seven times when rivers in Damascus were better. But God has no appointment with any other river but Jordan. If God knows that your healing is in Jordan, it cannot happen somewhere else.

Jordan is a place of atonement, some places of breakthrough may not look attractive from the beginning but that is where the breakthrough is.Some say all churches are the same; I don’t disagree but all rivers are not Jordan.

God called Elijah and said “You Elijah go to the brook I will feed you there and when you reach that place, go to a place called Zarephath, there I will send a widow to feed you there. That was the place that God chose.”
God said to Jacob arise and go to Bethel, there I will bless you.”No other place but Bethel and we learnt all these lessons from the above scripture.

DON’T SUBSTITUTE GOD’S METHOD AND CHOICE

The Jordan that Naaman was condemning was the same Jordan that Jesus Christ was baptised. It was by Jordan that Elisha received his double portion and when you get to that place call Jordan, it is where you stop trusting in man. Come down from your high position and throw away your pride. Don’t substitute other things for Jordan. University cannot replace it. Pray and get yourself washed seven times.

PRAYER
1: O Lord, dissolve any deep rooted problem in the Name of Jesus.
2: Father Lord, send your fire into the root of my life to uproot any deeply rooted problem in the Name of Jesus.
GOOD LUCK.
